Meeting Bo Sanchez
Some people call it destiny. Bo calls it orchestration. Yesterday was an unplanned visit to the mall with my wife to meet our nephew, when in all our surprise, we saw this tarpaulin saying that Bo Sanchez was coming to Cebu the next day. My wife and I were astounded of this coincidence. She has been saying that she wanted to attend one of Bo's gathering one of these days. We have been listening to Bo's preachings on television and read his books. And there we were. I guess it was destined that somehow, we were at the right place, at the right time.
Today, for the first time, we attended The Feast, a gathering where we celebrate God's word. We just knew that this is taking place weekly at Mondays 6pm. Today was special though as Brother Bo was present. The Holy Mass was celebrated in the first hour, following two hours of words of worship and inspiration.
The main take away of Bo's message, was about focusing on your strengths, forgetting your weakness. We don't have to be the best in the world, but the best in Your World.
As an analogy, he used the bow, arrow, and an apple as the target. In order to hit the target, all these three must be aligned. The bow is your Passion, the arrow your Potential, and the apple was your Purpose. If we visualize these as circle shapes, the area where Passion and Potential meet, is your Purpose. That right there will be your guide in deciding what you want to do with your life.
The event tonight launched a bigger event come Dec. 1, the Kerygma Conference 2012, entitled "Champions Arise!", at the Waterfront Hotel, Lahug, Cebu City. For more information, visit kconcebu.com.
