Wonderful Wonder Full

Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket

I got the chance to check out the Wonder Full at the Marina Bay. It showcases projected lights and lasers to giant water screens creating amazing effects about life and love along with great music. My favorite part was when “What a Wonderfull World” song was played. This is the story about light and water. The show runs for 13 minutes at two available time slots nightly at 8:00pm and 9:30pm, and an additional slot at 11pm on Fridays and Saturdays. The soundtrack is also simultaneously broadcasted via 103.9 FM station. But nothing beats the experience of being there. I want to take my wife on a date and bring her there.

These pics were taken using a Sony DSC-TX5 waterproof digital camera, played with its features and did a little Picasa3 enhancing.

US Travels

Finally! It's been years, and now I have finally posted pictures and blogged about my travels to the US. One of my dreams is to take my wife to the places that I have been, especially the Niagara Falls. I'm an aficionado of nature and Niagara Falls is just a marvelous sight to behold. Someday, I'll go there with my wife.

Click on the photos and enjoy the pics! :)

Discovering Pulau Ubin: A Taste of Rural Singapore

Long before arriving here in SG, I always told myself I’ll find a nice trail or mountain where I can warm my legs up on a mountain bike. And it’s good to do that with former colleagues. Our stop -- Pulau Ubin.

Pulau Ubin means "Granite Island" in Malay. There are many old granite quarries. This small lush island remains one of the last rural place in Singapore, and I’m excited I was the early bird in our meeting place in Changi Point Ferry Terminal. So while waiting, I grabbed a few photos and had fun with another hobby, photography. I experimented on the sepia and black/white shots. While checking out the island, I continued getting a few snaps as well. Here were my takes...

It was a fun-filled day. I enjoyed the trails. They had one of the best so far from what I’ve experienced.

The trail is located in the Ketam Mountain Bike Park built on 2007. It's about 8 kilometers long with various levels of difficulty with a lot of short but steep climbs and downhills.

We went through the Black Diamond trail with a number of steep climbs and descents, tricky turns, and coupled with slippery rain ruts as it just rained in the morning.

It's good to have an adrenaline rush again on a mountain bike! A heart-pumping biking exercise always leaves me smiling at the end of the day. Enjoy the rest of the pics! :)

Bike, bike and bike...

My bike stories... These were my bike rides since 2008 using my Specialized MTB. That's 6000 kilometers worth of biking. I sold my bike the other month when I had to fly away from home. I miss my mountain bike. But hey, once a biker, always a biker. So watch out for my next bike stories. (Wow! How many times did I mention the word "bike"? Ü)
